Summer Institute
Elbows Up in an Age of Responsibility

We invite you to participate in the 2026 Summer Institute, Elbows Up: The Age of Responsibility—a three-day working gathering for people engaged in research, policy, organizing, and community leadership who are seeking constructive, grounded ways to respond to the converging challenges of democratic erosion, climate disruption, and social fragmentation.

This is not a conference and not a retreat for passive listening. It is an intentional space for careful thinking, honest dialogue, and practical collaboration—rooted in place, lived experience, and shared responsibility.
